Head of UPB Attends Postgraduate Halal Bihalal at UIN STS Jambi

Jambi – Dr. Aris Dwi Nugroho, M.Pd.I, Head of the Language Development Unit (UPB) at UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, attended the Halal Bihalal event in celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, hosted by the Postgraduate Program of UIN STS Jambi on Tuesday, April 15. The event also welcomed the Vice Governor of Jambi Province, Drs. Abdullah Sani, M.Pd.I.

The celebration was lively and warmly attended by the academic community and invited guests. In his opening remarks, Rector of UIN STS Jambi, Prof. Dr. Kasful Anwar, M.Pd., expressed his gratitude for the event’s success and extended appreciation to the Vice Governor for his attendance.

In addition to fostering togetherness, the event also featured a thanksgiving ceremony celebrating recent achievements by the Postgraduate Program, including “Excellent” and “Very Good” accreditation ratings awarded by BAN-PT to several study programs. It also honored three postgraduate lecturers who were recently appointed as full professors.

“As of today, 20 out of the 47 study programs at UIN STS Jambi have achieved excellent accreditation status. I am truly pleased and hope that more programs undergoing re-accreditation this year will receive equally outstanding results,” said Prof. Kasful.

The Rector also shared plans to expand Ma’had Al-Jami’ah facilities for new students this year. “Alhamdulillah, we’ve received support from DPR and DPD members representing Jambi. This assistance will be used to enhance the infrastructure and facilities of Ma’had Al-Jami’ah,” he added.

Vice Governor Drs. Abdullah Sani, who also chairs the university’s alumni association, praised the university’s ongoing progress. “As an alumnus, I’m proud to see UIN Jambi’s continuous growth,” he said.

He affirmed that the Jambi Provincial Government will remain committed to supporting the advancement of higher education as part of its mission to strengthen human resources under the “Jambi Mantap” vision. One of the efforts includes expanding educational access throughout the province. “My gratitude goes to all educators and academic staff,” the Vice Governor stated.

Postgraduate Director, Prof. Dr. Risnita, M.Pd., expressed her sincere appreciation for the support of all parties involved. She noted that the presence of key leaders, including the Vice Governor, Rector, Vice Rectors, and other officials, was truly encouraging.

The event also featured an Islamic sermon (tausyiah) delivered by Dr. Abdullah Firdaus, Ph.D., a postgraduate lecturer, who emphasized the importance of unity and intellectual contribution in building a strong civilization.

The entire event was held in a warm, family-like atmosphere at the Postgraduate Auditorium of UIN STS Jambi in Telanaipura.
