Muaro Jambi – The State Islamic University (UIN) Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin (STS) Jambi continues to expand its international collaborations. On Monday (October 6), the university held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).

The signing involved several strategic institutions, including PEKA Malaysia and the Association of Islamic Guidance and Counseling Experts (PABKI). In addition, an MoA was also signed with the Faculty of Da’wah at UIN STS Jambi as part of efforts to strengthen academic cooperation.
This event marked an important step toward promoting cross-border collaboration, opening broader opportunities for developing knowledge relevant to global needs.
The Rector of UIN STS Jambi, Prof. Kasful Anwar, reaffirmed his commitment to nurturing an excellent generation. He emphasized that graduates must not only excel academically but also be mentally resilient and spiritually mature.
“We aim to produce whole-person graduates—individuals who can balance spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions,” said Prof. Kasful.
He also underlined the importance of academic collaboration that supports students’ mental health, noting its relevance amid the growing pressures of modern life.
Prof. Kasful expressed deep appreciation for the successful organization of the international cooperation and seminar, describing it as tangible proof of the university’s concern for student mental health.
Representing the Dean of the Faculty of Da’wah, Dr. Syaroni, M.Pd.I., the Vice Dean I, delivered remarks expressing gratitude for the support of all parties.
According to him, the seminar aligns with the Faculty’s vision of fostering students who excel intellectually, spiritually, and socially. Thus, the event further strengthens the Faculty’s role in supporting student development.
