Muaro Jambi, Indonesia – The Rector of Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, Prof. Dr. Kasful Anwar, M.Pd., chaired a high-level evaluation meeting alongside key university leadership on the third floor of the Rectorate Building. The session was attended by vice rectors, bureau heads, deans, directors, heads of departments and units, and other strategic stakeholders.

The meeting opened with a discussion on the university’s coordinated response to the recent fire incident. The Rector reported close collaboration with the Jambi City Police and Fire Department, as well as comprehensive damage assessments. He emphasized that supporting affected stakeholders remains a top priority in the university’s recovery efforts.
Another key agenda item was the progress in new student admissions. While there has been a slight decline in enrollment through the independent track, the university noted significant public interest in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program. The Rector encouraged all divisions to intensify efforts in promoting student enrollment across all admission pathways.
In light of the upcoming 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence, UIN STS Jambi is preparing various celebratory activities, including the Independence Day Festival (Gebyar HUT RI) and a National Prayer (Zikir Kebangsaan) to express gratitude and national pride. This year, 28 academic staff members will receive the Satyalancana Karya Satya, a national service award.

- Vice Rector I, Dr. Ayub Mursalin, reported that over 12,000 prospective students have applied to UIN STS Jambi, with ongoing student registration.
- Vice Rector II, Dr. Pahmi, presented updates on financial, staffing, and general affairs.
- Vice Rector III, Dr. Jamaluddin, shared progress on Bank Indonesia and BAZNAS Cendekia scholarship selections and expressed optimism about the Dumisake Scholarship, supported by the Jambi Provincial Government.
The university also confirmed that the Ma’had program will commence in August, and preparations are underway for the PBAK (Student Orientation Program) scheduled for August 24.
Evaluation reports were also submitted by heads of bureaus, faculties, postgraduate programs, technical units, and other institutional bodies. Through this comprehensive evaluation, UIN STS Jambi reaffirms its commitment to institutional resilience, educational excellence, and national development.
